Ballast & Trackbed
Ballast, cinders, track-bed underlay, wagon loads and road materials.
Ballast and trackbed materials are the finishing layer that makes model railway track look like it belongs in the landscape. This category brings together the catalogue sections for ballast in several colours and sizes, cinders, and trackbed for N, OO/HO and O gauge, alongside roads and wagon loads. The Ballast section describes seven realistic colours and three sizes, and the listings include Medium Ballast in Gray Blend, Grey Blend Ballast, a Bag Of Cinders Medium Ballast and a Cinders Ballast product.
Trackbed is covered in several forms. The N gauge and OO/HO gauge Track Bed sections sit alongside the O gauge Track Bed section, and the Track-Bed section describes a newer roadbed system. Listed products include HO Track-Bed Strips in 12 and 36 piece packs, an N Track-Bed Strips standard pack, an O 2' Track-Bed Strips set and an HO Track-Bed Roll. Modellers use these materials to lay and finish track, to add roads, and to represent loads on wagons.
